JOIN US IN THE COMMEMORATION OF OUR SOUTHERN AFRICAN HISTORY WITH THE UNVEILING OF MZILIKAZI KAMASHOBANE (1795 – 1868)
On Saturday the 16th of September 2023 Kedar Heritage Lodge, of the Recreation Africa Group, will be hosting a commemorative event with speakers, an address, historical indigenous readings from Ancestral Voices, and an exceptional unveiling ceremony by Royalty, government officials, and VIPs.
Kedar Heritage Lodge, Conference Centre & Spa is a historical property that memorializes significant figures in South Africa's history. Our vision is to showcase the fact that what unites us is far greater than what divides us. We hope to encapsulate the true history of South Africa and revive the stories of our lost African heroes.
The achievements of Mzilikazi form one of the most significant stories of Southern African history, and we feel that he should be remembered. His history should be communicated to all South Africans as a means of understanding the past and the present times in which we are living. His movements through Southern Africa paint a vivid picture of the story of our country and homeland.
The event starts at 09h30 and includes a complimentary lunch and afternoon refreshments.
